Our Heritage, Our Birthright – McKenzie Pass Belongs to All of Us! 🚨❄️
We're at 2,368 signatures – incredibly close to our 2,500 signature goal! Right now, ODOT and the Forest Service are quietly trying to steal our right to access McKenzie Pass for winter recreation – without asking the public, without caring what you and I have to say.
This land is part of our American heritage. It’s the same land our parents and grandparents rode, explored, and loved. It’s our birthright as lovers of the outdoors, as winter recreationalists, and as stewards of the public lands we cherish. But now, they’re trying to strip us of that – to lock us out, hoping we will back down quietly.
But we won’t back down. We never have, and we never will. They think we’ll just let this happen. They think we won't fight back, that we'll tire and let them make these decisions without our voices. They’re counting on us giving up – but they don’t understand the spirit of our community.
Every signature we gather pushes back against their secrecy and undermines their efforts to lock us out. We are so close to 2,500, and they know it – but they are counting on our energy fading away.
Here’s what we need: TODAY we need everyone who has already signed to find just one more person—a friend, a family member, a fellow winter lover, or anyone who values the freedom to access our public lands—and get them to sign the petition. If we all do that, we’ll smash through 2,500 signatures before the day is out.
