Dear Supporters: This morning, the TODAY Show featured a segment regarding 540 Meals and our petition to keep it out of schools. (There’s also a poll in this link asking whether viewers support the idea of a McDonald’s brand ambassador in schools – please take a second to vote NO!): http://www.today.com/health/parents-protest-mcdonalds-diet-ambassador-speaking-schools-t53696 At the end of the TODAY Show segment, anchor Natalie Morales says McDonald’s “has no plans to stop Cisna’s speaking engagements” in schools – referring to John Cisna, the science teacher who’s featured in 540 Meals. I assume this also means that the company plans to continue promoting 540 Meals around the country as an “educational” film for use in schools. So what will it take to get McDonald’s to back down? More pressure from people like us. If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to share the petition on social media. And if you’re a Twitter user, here’s a ready-made tweet asking McDonald’s to listen to our concerns: http://ctt.ec/KCieJ Thank you again for your continued support of this important effort! -Bettina
