Important Update – Plz Comment Directly on Planning application Council Website by 14 October

Thank you to everyone supporting our campaign to protect the greenery and pedestrian environment at Queen Charlotte Street, opposite Leith Links.

We now need your help with one important step.

Despite hundreds of petition signatures, the Council's planning website currently shows just 3 public comments on the application.

While petition signatures demonstrate public concern, individual comments submitted directly to Edinburgh Council have greater significance in the formal planning process.

If you want to make a real difference, please take a few minutes to:

  1. Visit Edinburgh Council's planning website: View and comment on planning applications on this link https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/planning-applications-1/view-comment-planning-applications/1
  2. Search for planning reference 26/03834/FULSTL (58–66 Queen Charlotte Street, Edinburgh) and click "Make a Comment".
  3. Explain your concerns in your own words.
The proposal would increase parking from 5 to 10 spaces, affecting the established landscaped frontage, mature vegetation and potentially pedestrian safety.

Please submit your comments by Wednesday 14 October.

Your support is greatly appreciated, but submitting your views directly to the Council is the most effective next step.

Thank you!
