Under the leadership of principal Dr. Lisa Mars, a single grade below 80 in junior high school means the student has zero chance of admission to LaGuardia - not even if the student receives a rare perfect 100 score on their audition!

Neither socioeconomic challenges, personal circumstances, nor talent are considered. Check out the admissions rubric above. The one on the left was in use before Dr. Mars arrived. The one on the right is from her tenure. It fails to consider students with disabilities and makes the minimum grade clear.
