The Toledo city council is officially staying the proposed kratom ban! Kratom will remain legal in Toledo for the foreseeable future, thanks to all your help and support! The council voted today on the amended resolution and chose to stay the vote on the ordinance, in order to defer to the state's decisions on the matter.

Our local battle may be won, but the fight to protect kratom will continue at the state and federal levels. The Ohio Board of Pharmacy and state legislature are already working on their own kratom legislation, and the issue has been floated at the federal level several times in the last year. If you want to urge your representatives to adopt sensible kratom regulations, such as the Kratom Consumer Protection Act, you can fill out a form provided by the AKA to contact them all simultaneously, here: https://www.protectkratom.org/kcpa
