The Issue

The Minnesota State Fair is a celebration of everything we love about our state, family, food, community, and connection. It’s where toddlers chase bubbles, teens pose with butter sculptures, and adults rediscover joy in mini donuts

It’s supposed to be a space where everyone feels welcome.

That’s why I’m calling on the MN State Fair organizers to remove the Action 4 Liberty booth from next year’s lineup.

Their platform, centered around the inflammatory slogan “Tim Walz Lies” isn’t just political. It’s hostile. It’s designed to provoke, divide, and spread misinformation under the guise of free speech. And while political diversity is part of democracy, hate speech and personal attacks have no place at a family-friendly event.

This isn’t about silencing opinions. It’s about protecting the integrity of a shared public space. The fair should be a place where kids don’t have to ask what “lies” means in a political smear, and where families aren’t confronted with aggressive messaging that feels more like a campaign rally than a community celebration.

We believe in spirited debate. We believe in freedom of expression. But we also believe in boundaries, and in the responsibility of event organizers to uphold them.

Let’s make the 2026 MN State Fair a place for joy, not division. Sign this petition to urge the fair’s leadership to rethink who gets a booth, and to prioritize kindness, inclusion, and respect over outrage marketing.
