Almost a year ago to the day Battlefield launched one of the most innovative new competitive modes in FPS gaming.

It is the most squad focused mode in the entirety of Battlefield 6, a mode where teamwork and tactics determines your success. It captures the spirit of Battlefield of playing as a team, playing to win and having fun with your friends. 

It quickly gathered a very loyal following. You would often run in to the same players daily, playing game after game, there was a true sense of community in a game sorely lacking in such a department .

Unfortunately EA did nothing to nurture the magic they had created, infact they routinely added gimmicks like the gas that actively harmed the player base.

They destroyed the points scoring in modes like Rodeo which further drove players away.

When it came time to make a ranked mode they instead only made the Battle Royale ranked. This continued to drive more people away.

To then say the player base isn’t large enough after scoring all these own goals is not a fair assessment. With just a bit of support and care this mode would be thriving. All people have ever asked for is maps, nothing else, no gimmicks.

I call on DICE to build on what they’ve created. Don’t abandon your innovation. You have something that could be ground breaking, that’s completely unique to you with the right care and support.
