Hi everyone! 

Thank you all so much for signing this petition. There was a student-faculty liaison meeting today and our representative brought this petition to attention and the value in giving the incoming levels a proper orientation. Although it may not be identical to ours or years passed, we received an update that there will be just as much time carved out for orientation, complete with SNA / AHEC scholar information (SNA pizza party still up in the air!). It sounds like it will be a hybrid orientation, which the current level one class dabbled in this past semester in addition to our in-person orientation days. There should be blocked out clinical days, in addition to the online portion, for the incoming class for orientation so they receive all the necessary details and have the chance to live Q&A their questions and concerns. 

I think this petition was a success, maybe not in the fine details of having it replicate previous years, but surely in communicating the value of extensive orientation to this nursing program. We should always be advocating for new and fellow nursing students!
