Epsom & Ewell Borough Council’s latest Local Plan consultation could add EVEN MORE Green Belt development on top of the original 1,600 Green Belt dwellings already proposed.
New/additional sites now being considered include:
Downs Farm – 530 dwellings
Priest Hill – 444 dwellings
Cuddington Glade – 37 dwellings
Land off Cuddington Glade – 50 dwellings
Land West of Burgh Heath Road – 50 dwellings
Noble Park – 90 dwellings
Hollywood Lodge – 50 dwellings
Land east of Burgh Heath Road – 100 dwellings
Land near Downs Road East – 160 dwellings
Nescot Playing Field – potential major development site
Residents have raised serious concerns about Green Belt ratings being arbitrarily changed, lack of transparency, and weak evidence on traffic and infrastructure impacts. These developments could also create severe traffic gridlock on roads including Reigate Road, Cheam Road and Burgh Heath Road.
This may be one of the last chances to object before decisions are made.
Respond NOW before 15 June:
https://epsom-ewell.inconsult.uk/localplan.additionaldocuments
You do not need to write a lengthy response as the sample. Even a short objection explaining why you believe Downs Farm and other Green Belt sites should not be developed can make a difference. More info can be found on https://epsomgreenbelt.org/
If possible, please also upload photographs showing:
• Wildlife and biodiversity • Flooding issues • Traffic congestion • Landscape views • Recreational use of the area
