Thank you to the 2,989 people who have signed so far in support of protecting this parcel of Crown land within the known boundaries of East Sooke Park from private business use.

At this stage, though, the most important action is not signing the petition — it is contacting decision-makers directly. We have made a list for you to use. 

Yesterday, we spoke directly with Regional Director Al Wickheim, and he confirmed that emails to him and letters sent to the CRD before the April 8 CRD Board meeting matter. We will also be providing Al with the list of petitioners before that meeting for presentation alongside his motion.

If you have signed the petition, please make sure you have also done the following:

5. Comment directly on all 3 Crown land applications by May 6, and clearly state your opposition to:
