Denise Savino cares deeply about her students and faculty - allowing students to express their first amendment rights and protesting against the injustices caused by ICE in a nation-wide walkout should NOT and NEVER result in needing an investigation, and the possibility of losing your job. Speaking out against ICE is no longer a matter of politics, but of personal morals and empathy for your fellow person.

I believe Martin Luther King Jr said it best; "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Allowing our principal to be investigated and having the potential to be fired on the grounds of students standing up to ICE should be considered an injustice to of highest regards.

p.s please do not send money to this petition!! - I am a single person and not a huge org or company that knows how to properly handle this. My plan is to present the petition to the school board and possibly a representative if possible to get ahold of. This is my first ever petition, and hadn’t expected outreach to the point of donations. I strongly encourage you guys to spend and donate money to larger, more dignified organizations or to the families of ice victims. Ok thanks pls don’t hate me!!
