Google Maps announced it will begin using Mt. McKinley to refer to Denali and Gulf of America to refer to Gulf of Mexico for its U.S. users. This is to demand that this decision be reversed. It is extremely disappointing to see Google make this decision only to appease an audience of one. I’ve always relied on Google when searching for facts and truth. Opting to change the names of two landmarks only for U.S. users tarnishes Google’s reputation as a reliable company. Using a “less ethnic” name for U.S. users is a shucking display of racism.
