We spoke to someone who works in Parliament today and because Parliament is Parogued there isn't much that can be done from a policy standpoint through the Federal arm however the CRTC is an independent body and they take the voice of the general public very seriously. The political letters will help but it is really your petitions that will hold weight. Please share this petition with everyone you know. The more signatures we have with an explanation on why you are supporting, the stronger the case is for the CRTC to grant us our request.

We are making waves but it is crucial that we don't slow down now if we want to secure the Black Voice on Radio in Canada.

The CRTC will have the final say once the sale is complete and your letters will make a difference. Just know that there is a possibility that the station is awarded to a Black-owned company in the process however we need them to make the designation permanent so that if at anytime the station comes up for sale again or the new owners lose the license we will have the peace of mind to know that it will stay in the community so please share.
