Keep Caldwell Memorial Library Open

Keep Caldwell Memorial Library Open
The Issue
In the small town of Derry, Pennsylvania lies a community library that has been open since 1993. It regularly hosts child-friendly events, gives opportunities for high school students to read, and provides the community with a wide selection of books.
The library lies inside of the Derry Area High School, and is open from 3-9 from Monday through Thursday. During the day, it serves as the high school library, where students are free to look and read at their own pleasure.
The school board has been debating on the pros and cons of closing the Caldwell Memorial Library. Their main reason is that the school administration building, which is about 20ft away from the main building, needs renovations. In order to renovate it, it needs to be ADA compliant, which would, and I quote, "cost more money" than just renovating it. This is a terrible reason to close a community library that has been serving it's neighborhood longer than most have been in the administration building.
So I ask, if you support the saving of a local library, please support our cause. I intend on presenting this to an official at the school board, or at the most bringing it to the school board meeting directly. Thank you for your time.
