This petition is to stop the taking of public land at Nielson Park Bargara for corporate /business interests under the pretense that it is for the communities good.

We already have a management plan for the area created with community consultation in 2013 which was to run for 30 years.

Bundaberg Regional Council is pushing this issue through on the 27th October 2026 without community consultation - if this happens it will set the precedent for more public land to be given to business interests.
Do not let this happen!
