Petition updateKeep ABA covered by Medicaid for Autism based on medical necessityVictory! But still fighting for the future

I am copying an article that was just posted by the ARC of Indiana! Basically, we won the battle, but the war will likely continue. The 30hr limit is OFF the table, and while the 3 year limit is still viable, the change will NOT be retroactive, meaning the three years for kids already in ABA would start April 1. From there, medical necessity for level 2 and 3 autism will be considered. To me, that means we have three years to convince them of continued medical necessity on a more case by case basis. Special needs parents will tell you, we never stop fighting and advocating for our kids, and we certainly won’t stop now, but this victory is HUGE for the 7,000 kids in Indiana receiving this life changing service. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for standing with us. I am always humbled when I open this petition and you have all been made official members of Team Eli (and friends) <3
