Recently, Danganronpa's game developer and writer Kazutaka Kodaka has stated in an interview for the 10th anniversary of Danganronpa that there is possibility of a new game and he does not consider it a finished series.

To ensure this happens, I've made a petition to show Kazutaka Kodaka and Spike chunsoft that there is demand for a new game, as Spike chunsoft is more likely to agree to make one if so. 

Over the past year Danganronpa has had a new boom in popularity with many new fans, streamers playing the game and it trending on tiktok, it's debatably as popular as it has ever been. This makes it the best time to announce and begin development on a new game.
