The Ontario government wants to put a bill through that would put many limits on car modifications. Much of the bill says that replacement parts must be "OEM or better", but what's better than an OEM 4 cylinder engine? one with a turbo, or a 6 cylinder engine. but neither of those things will be OEM on said car, will they? so they will be rejected. Lift/lowering kits will be banned, camber and not OEM specs rims will be banned. Sorry rednecks, your trucks won't be legal anymore. If everyone has to use OEM or "better" parts, who's going to suffer? Car enthusiasts yes, but more so the many companies that sell parts for upgrading and modifying cars. There also appears to be no cutoff date for the age of a car, which means that this will also affect classic cars. Rat Rods, Hot Rods and the like will all be gone. Even fully restored original classic cars may look original, but the chances of getting all OEM spec parts for a classic car are very slim. Help us defeat this terrible bill and save the jobs of thousands and the hobbies of even more!
