This past week's vote in the Ontario Legislature regarding Bill 166 was quite a spectacle. All Ontario parties (the PCs, the NDP and Trillium) stood up against the Wynne government and opposed Bill 166. But of course, with the current Liberal majority, the Liberals were able to push it through. Many Ontarians are now asking: "Now what? Is it over?" CPBH's response: "It's certainly not over! There is an election in less than six months, and this new legislation could be repealed." So, here is what you can do now: 1. Help us get more signatures on the petition. Numbers are going up and we are over 1000. Let’s keep that momentum going. Again, here's the link to the petition: https://tinyurl.com/z6ysez8 . 2. Let every candidate who asks for your vote know that you want the Tarion monopoly ended, and Justice Cunningham's other recommendations implemented. 3. If your MPP voted against Bill 166, contact him/her and say thank you! If your MPP is Liberal, and therefore voted for Bill 166, tell him/her how disappointed you are with their vote.
