Help to make Colin Trevorrow' Star Wars - Episode IX: Duel of the Fates happen

The Issue

The leaked concept art and script that show Colin Trevorrow's episode IX, would present the sure ending of this trilogy. However, the repudiation of the fans, the push of Solo added to the massive amount of material about Star Wars made it result in a frustrating and discouraging film. The repetition of the entire story of episode VI in this film as well as the copy that episode VII made of episode IV was criticized harshly for its lack of authenticity and like the soundtrack by John Williams - who was nominated for an Oscar despite being bad if compared to the other films in the saga and his career - it wasn't able to save. This whole situation gives a sense of lack of interest from Disney and Lucasfilm in making new Star Wars films.

Rose would have a much more important role in helping with her mechanical skills to contact other planets for the final battle on Coruscant. Finn leads an army of renegade stormtroppers to fight the first order. Rey uses a double blue lightsaber and fights Kylo Ren to death on Mortis - planet of the expanded universe that has sporadic manifestations of the force - who is, in fact, the real villain of this film, denying his past of veneration for Vader and learning how to cheat death with the master of Palpatine in Remnicore - black and white sith planet - wearing a new mask made of Mandalorian Beskar. Knights of Ren use Darksaber to fight Rey, Poe and Chewie in Bonadan - a beautiful planet similar to Southeast Asia. In addition to having Rey, Rose, Poe, Finn and BB-8 infiltrate Kuat to steal an eclipse-class destroyer - shipyard planet and planet-destroying superweapon from the times of the empire in the expanded universe. General Hux as Chancellor of the galaxy and committing suicide with Mace Windu's lightsaber. Leia meeting Lando and the broom boy trainning with Rey. With a few more treatments of the script, the film will become more polished and more truthful.

The Skywalkers are left out of this film focusing mainly on Palpatine, making Vader's sacrifice in Episode VI invalid by trivializing the mysterious power of immortality and taking away the essence of Skywalkers. It is a disrespect for the story that Rian Johnson followed based on what would be the narrative of the George Lucas sequel trilogy before the purchase of Lucasfilm by Disney. The producers used the excuse of Carrie Fisher's passing to try to hide all their incompetence with a saga that revolutionized cinema. The failure of Solo and the rejection of the events of episode VIII symbolize the cowardice that the Mickey brand presents with only nostalgia to earn more money by selling dolls and devaluing the real breakthrough that is creating new stories with diversity betting on heavy themes like prejudice and revolution.

Bearing in mind that a trilogy is composed of introduction, development and conclusion, The Rise of Skywalker seems to want to accomplish everything at the same time. Reintroducing Palpatine without explanation and changing the narrative followed by the previous films, it causes insignificance to episode VIII and double meaning to episode VII, not to mention that both emphasized and ended Luke and Han Solo, respectively. Episode IX would have done the same - which Carrie Fisher herself asked for and which appeared in the episode VIII production videos. The use of CGI is the most interesting way to honor the actress and the character. The fast pace unmasks Disney's distress to launch the film to earn more money and build its empire, buying other studios and creating a monopoly in which you can only see something from the Mickey house that there is a pattern to follow like in Avengers: Endgame, whether they are story or directors.

It is immoral not to recognize the previous film as a necessary maturation for the saga. Changing the plot of the trilogy is an affront both to actors and screenwriters and to mythology. Ignoring Rose in this film seems normal considering the reaction of toxic and prejudiced fans who are cowards in showing their faces and who have a large portion in this film that will be known as one of the most forgettable and frustrating endings of cinema. Re-release The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi in theaters. Then, Duel of the Fates. There's no way to complain. Disney has enough money to make a movie like this. They just won't, if they don't want to. They try to hide the mistakes when creating series to justify The Rise of Skywalker. It is necessary that the error is admitted with this film.

The Rise of Skywalker is the culmination of all despair in trying not to be a disaster. Help by signing the petition to produce and release this film and not let it happen with any other franchise that exists or that will exist. Don't let this movie die.
