Thank you all for your support, I wanted to let you all know that I successfully delivered the petition to both Karen Handel and Paul Ryan last Monday during the rally. Paul Ryan actually signed the folder with the petition, and Karen Handel tried to give the petition back to me. She did say there would be "several" debates, and when I asked when they would be, she said "they already confirmed 3 debates." When I said we want them open to the public, she quickly scurried away! We received a lot of Media Coverage, and my hope was that this public scrutiny coupled with the voice of 1200+ voters would put enough pressure on Handel to participate in a debate. Although we don't have a confirmed debate, both parties have agreed to participate in a nonpartisan forum! We aren't finished yet, and we won't stop until we see public debates. In the meantime, this will be a great alternative to hear both sides in a public forum.
