Every day sick and injured people that don't have insurance are treated in local emergency rooms, and sent a bill for services later. Why can't it be the same for our pets? Why are the few animal emergency hospitals we have in this state allowed To demand money up front for services needed to keep our pet children alive. More often then not we have to resort to the cheaper alternative and put our pets down, when they have something that could be treated to make them well again. Many people have pets instead of children. Isn't it fair that they get the same rights as parents when it comes to the treatment of their children? Human children get treated no matter what when a puppies mom and dad have to watch their baby go to sleep and never wake up. We have the same feelings for our animal kids as any other parent, just less rights. Please help me make the right to have our babies treated and get the option to be billed at a later date. Treat it like we do with people. If they don't pay contact them, set up payments arrangements, take them to court. Just stop making us make the choice of a cheaper, more heart breaking choice of putting our babies down. They deserve to love full long lives just like everyone else.
