I wanted to thank those that helped secure the 100 signatures (we actually got 153) on a Notice of Intent to Circulate a Referendum Petition on Ordinance 150849 (Second Amendment to W 17th St TIF). I was able to deliver them to the City Clerk's office this afternoon. They will then send them to the Kansas City Election Board for verification. In the meantime, we have a LOT of work to get done. The next step is to circulate the petition to secure 3,417 signatures by December 8th. I will post another update tomorrow on how you may help with this next step if you're interested as we'll need all hands on deck! Not sure if you saw this October 30 Editorial in The Kansas City Star, but thought I'd share.
