Good day folks, I would just like to thank those of you who have taken this opportunity to sign this petition. As some may of noticed, a slew of flyers were put up on each floor last night. But early this afternoon they were taken down; presumably by building management. I'm surprised to learn of other Kaneff buildings also getting forced into this on our street! This petition has had so far 195 views and 77 signers. A little uneven, but keeping positive! Anyone notice the shiny new sign and paint lines we got? Too bad that they couldn't care enough to improve the lines before the pay parking took effect huh? Thanks again! (Side note) To the unsupportive comment regarding the safety of our building: Has anyone seen the security guards that "protect" our homes? I'm sorry, but a 70 year old man with a clipboard is not going to stop anything. ALSO, this paid enforced parking is not going to stop intruders from entering our building. There are other places to park IE Rabba, the funeral home which is free (and unmanned at night), and if they're inclined enough to break in, a 5 minute walk isn't going to bother them much as they can disappear into the forest behind us. This enforcement has NOTHING to do with the safety of our building. Our parking lost was very seldom overcrowded with non-visiting guests; 100% not enough to warrant this. But you are right, our area is not the most safe. However installing paid parking machines is not by any means of the imagination, going to deter people from breaking in. It's just not. In any event, lets keep this momentum going! I'm glad to see other Kaneff buildings are willing to do the same!
