Private Prisons are scummy ways for corporations to make money off of human beings! They are unethical and are a service that should only be given to us by our own government through public prisons. 

-Corporations such as the CCA can make upwards of 500% profit off of private prisons and it's residents. -

-Studies have also shown that  private prisons tend to take less aggressive prisoners, such as people arrested for drug charges or non violent crimes, so they can spend less money on security for their prisoners.  

- Private prisons have to reach a quota of prisoners to successfully continue to run and make profit for the prison

-Private prisons do not have to report living conditions of the prisoners to the government since they are a private establishment, meaning living conditions can be as poor as the prison can make it.

-The very own constitution ensures our domestic tranquility and to establish justice, and yet one could also argue this is cruel and unusual punishment, making private prisons unconstitutional!

This among many other reasons are reasons private prisons should be abolished. Create reform, fund a better system, improve our police force, AND ABOLISH PRIVATE PRISONS
