An Open Letter to Justin Trudeau

[My brother Rob wrote this open letter to Justin Trudeau on his birthday, September 26th, which also coincides with Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Here is his letter and below it is the response he received from Trudeau's staff.] A letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau...I say the following with no political bias. Today is Mesothelioma Awareness Day. It also happens to be my birthday. Last month Mesothelioma claimed my dear father. Now every birthday for the rest of my life, I have this small sad reminder. So my question is when will you fulfill your promise and outright ban asbestos? Probably never because the Quebec vote is more important than accessory to murder. Since, you know, that is essentially what happened to my dad. Knowingly hired to work where exposure was likely. And a system that permitted it. Prove me wrong.
