Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Honorable Members of Canadian Senate: We, as humanity, are uniting to strongly urge you, as political figures of power and influence, to become active voices and role-models in raising awareness and address the issues/concerns that is increasingly growing from the inhumane aspects of the commercial seal hunt. For decades, and present included, the Government of Canada has appeared, in many eyes, to be denying and ignoring the international outcries and outrage that has extended from the bodies of facts and information that animal rights groups/organizations and individuals have provided to the world through countless sources and platforms. Such facts and information, including the graphic images displaying the horrific shooting and bludgeoning of seals , has lead to not only a decline in markets, but has also caused trading countries to put bans upon the importing of seal products, and escalate the demands and pressure towards the Government of Canada to phase out their support through subsidies --- and restore Canada's reputation by approving a ban upon this dying industry, in which is costing hundreds of thousands of innocent lives of seals annually. We believe that taking these necessary steps, and the possible solution of a sealing industry buyout, could very well be a benefit for not only the seal species, but for all investing individuals in this industry as well.
