The Canada Commercial Sealing has faced a large amount of attention and outrage over the years, however even though such awareness has been brought to light, it appears that the Canadian Government still refuses to take notice and acknowledge the inhumanity and unnecessary purpose that this hunt portrays. Their constant involvement and funding of this dying and cruel industry, due to products manufactured from the use of seals (fur, seal oil, aphrodisiacs etc.) is what I truly believe is blinding them from ending this cruel and harsh truth that is literally torturing and slaughtering hundreds of thousands of innocent lives --- for the mere purpose of profit. But how much longer can they go on being blind to this dark reality, especially when more and more countless individuals and organizations worldwide (including Canada itself) are not only raising their voices in outrage and protest over this hunt, but also taking action, such as bans that many countries have already put into play - removing their involvement in seal products. Should this clearly not be enough, including a decreasing market, to get the acknowledgement and removal of this harvest from the Canadian Governments investments? and instead of them creating funding of millions of dollars of tax-payers money that they invest in such an industry, why they would not use that to put towards beneficial needs that already Canada is crying out for? Justin Trudeau, being a newly elected Prime Minister, should take this opportunity and beneficial step by showing not only his fellow Canadians that he is extending compassion towards animals but also taking this inspirational stand to leading other political figures, not only within Canada but the World as well, to do the same for innocent lives... because the hope in humanity has to start somewhere. But will others help to spread the message.... to actually want to make the difference that could save innocent lives from the inhumanity and cruelty that goes hand in hand with the Canada Commercial Seal Hunt... to take that single moment to say "Yes I Care!" and to give one less thing that future generations have to fight against.
