Yes folks according to many media sources --- The Canadian Government has indeed passed a new National Day celebrating the seal slaughter. The news came to our attention via Twitter about a day or so ago by one of our animal angel followers, and it was certainly not only a heartbreaking reality but one that sparked outrage within countless individuals who didn't even know that this had happened. According to sources the Liberal Government found a way to sneakily ram Bill S-208, an Act Respecting Seal Products Day, through the House of Commons, a bill that was at the bottom of the order paper, and not expected to reappear for months. hmmm.... so it leaves much questions..... why did the Canadian Government do this, and feel the need to keep such news from individuals? Why did they feel it was necessary to glorify such a slaughter and add it along with such recognition of imperative events and light, especially when there is so much outrage, bans and declining market for such products and slaughter? and why did Parliament go along with it?
