The Canada Commercial Seal Hunt is considered by most as the largest slaughter of marine mammals in the World, but thanks to many voices, protests and implemented bans from countless other countries including major trading partners like (US & Eur), such strategies are causing some impacts --- like raising awareness, gaining attention and even the decrease and collapsing of markets for seal products.... What we as a civilized society need to do is continue to urge and write to Government officials within Canada and gain their attention and immediate action to bring this seal hunt to an end once and for all, and through that urging -- shining light on the idea of a Federal Sealing Industry Buyout..... This form of solution to the issue at hand, would bring to a halt the Government assistance that they provide through subsidies for the commercial seal hunt and bring forth the end of the seal hunt itself. Secondly, the Government would participate in working directly alongside individuals, industries and communities involved to establish and develop fair purchase of licenses and investments --- and work and engage with communities who are affected by such a buyout with educational programs and resources necessary to improve the lives and skills of those within. With these changes, the Canadian Federal Government will also work alongside provincial and community governments (municipalities) to discover and achieve other service alternatives to help and support such individuals and industries affected from the buyout, thus also meaning compensation for lost income and investments.
