Since the Government of Canada has banned direct flights from India, we Canadian residents/citizens/students even after being fully vaccinated with Canadian government-authorized vaccine, have to take flight transit and bring negative RT-PCR reports via a third country. This plan of travel is full of a hassle for us. 

Travelling through an indirect route is insecure, expensive and too much time and energy-consuming. Most of the countries don't have RT-PCR testing services at their airport, due to which we need to apply another visa, spend a fortune and increases the chance to get exposed to COVID-19. 

As the situation is getting back to normal, most of the companies working remotely wants people back to office. Many of the permanent residents like me are stuck in India, are unable to join back. It's alarming to our career. Being away from family is hampering our mental health too.   

I urge the Canadian government to start direct flights from India for those who have taken a full dose of Canadian government-authorized vaccination and accept RT-PCR test results from India.
