As Latino Canadians and allies, we demand that you denounce the concentration camps sprouting up in the United States. We have been mindfully watching and waiting for you to act, to say something as our Latino family is incarcerated. Their only crime, wanting a better life here in North American.

The first wave of Latinos that came to Canada were Chileans in the 70s. They were coming to this country because they were being persecuted. A lot of them spent time in concentration camps. As a Latino community, we understand the trauma not only on the prisoner but also the families, and we can certainly imagine the trauma that is being inflicted on the families and children because they are being forceably separated at the border with lies.

The Latino Canadian community and our allies we demand that you speak up and denounce the camps.
