I can't imagine an 88 year old woman beaten to death by her son . How many years of fears did she endure before her tragic death? How many people were aware of the problem and couldn't help? How many people around her were afraid to call the police, knowing that things would get worse after he was released? 

The mother had no protection! The son had no help!
