The money loan and legal pressure to refund 

In May 2022, South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk driving incident that resulted in significant fines and compensation payments. To cover these expenses, she borrowed approximately 700 million KRW (about $487,540) from her agency, Gold Medalist. After her contract with Gold Medalist ended in December 2022, Kim Sae-ron struggled to repay the debt due to limited work opportunities and resorted to part-time jobs. In 2024, Gold Medalist sent her a formal notice demanding repayment of the loan. 

Kim Soo Hyun and his company, Gold Medalist have billions of ₩ons, they don’t need 700 million urgently. 

Saeron trusted the man who groomed her since she was 15 to lend her money and allow her enough time to pay it back but he used this as another possibility to assert more dominance over her. Kim Soo Hyun wanted Saeron to beg him, to feel helpless and scared, he wanted to stress her all to satisfy his own ego. Didn’t he say himself he liked women to feel that way ? He is just a vile man.

 

Let’s review the scandal and all disturbing things Kim Soo Hyun did and say over the last years.

1. Inappropriate Relationship with Kim Sae-ron

In March 2025, ””“allegations””” surfaced accusing Kim Soo-hyun of engaging in a six-year romantic relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, beginning when she was 15 and he was 27. These claims were brought forward by Kim Sae-ron’s family following her tragic passing on February 16, 2025, which coincided with Kim Soo-hyun’s birthday. Gold Medalist, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, has denied these “allegations” and announced intentions to pursue legal action against the youtube channel Garosero (which leaked a lot of photos, news, text messages regarding this case) but today, March 12,  texts messages emerged showing how Gold Metalist also participated in threatening Saeron.

2. Resurfacing of Disturbing Past Online Posts

Recent reports have brought to light past online posts made by Kim Soo-hyun that describe his ideal partner in a manner perceived as possessive, obedient and emotionally demanding. In these posts, he expressed a desire for a partner who would “only think of me” and indicated that he would not tolerate being corrected, stating, “If you try to teach me then you will d!e…” And many more that shows how he viewed his ideal partner as a servant.

3. Remarks on Significant Age Disparities in Relationships

In past interviews, Kim Soo-hyun has made comments about his ideal marriage age and partner’s age that have raised eyebrows. Specifically, he mentioned a desire to marry at the age of 41 to a 21-year-old woman, highlighting a substantial age gap. He also said in an interview with the 13 year old actress that he wanted her to get mature quickly so she play his partner in a movie.
