Justice Without Delay: Death Penalty for Proven Crimes Against Women in India

The Issue

As a father and husband, I am terrified for the world my daughter and wife must live in.

Every day, headlines echo stories of women assaulted, violated, and silenced. Behind every statistic is a name, a face, a future that was destroyed — and a justice system too slow to respond.

In 2023 alone:

448,211 crimes against women were registered in India.
29,670 were rape cases — that’s around 81 rapes every single day.
6,156 women were killed in dowry-related deaths.

And these are just registered cases. Thousands more never see daylight due to fear, shame, or lack of faith in the system.

Even when a case is proven, justice crawls. Trials drag for years. Conviction rates remain painfully low. Many perpetrators walk free long before a survivor can heal.

Enough is enough.

We demand:

Death penalty as the default punishment for all proven rape and fatal violence cases against women — unless the court finds extraordinary mitigating circumstances.
Mandatory fast-track trials to deliver verdicts within 6 months of FIR filing.
Strict timelines for investigation — 90 days maximum to file a chargesheet.
No-bail rule in all crimes involving rape, sexual assault, and dowry death.
Nationwide tracking system for crimes against women — real-time case status, conviction data, and officer accountability.
Special women’s police & survivor support units in every district.
National awareness and consent education program to prevent gender-based violence.

Other countries act faster and hit harder.

In several Gulf nations, brutal sexual crimes are punished by death without years of trial delays. Yet, in India — a country of 1.4 billion — justice limps through paperwork. Our daughters deserve the same protection and respect.

This is not vengeance. This is survival.

As citizens, we demand that justice be swift, absolute, and irreversible for those proven guilty of destroying a woman’s life.

Sign this petition if you believe the right to live without fear is non-negotiable.

Together, we can make India a place where women are not just respected — but protected.
