Willie’s Story

On November 1st 2024 at 8:53 am, our beloved One-Eyed Willie was murdered by a neighbor as he sat in our yard watching a squirrel in a nearby tree. He was only 4 1/2 months old. Our local police and Animal Control officers have failed to protect Willie’s rights and our right to justice. SC code 47-1-40 (B).  If you have a furry animal that you love and want to keep safe from cruel people, then please take a moment to sign this petition or read his story and share it for awareness on ANIMAL CRUELTY.

Backstory:

Willie was found in a wooded area near our home in Horry County, SC. He had one eye that was severely injured and infected. When we found Willie, he was a tiny 3 week old kitten. We immediately sought medical treatment to help him. With medical care and unconditional love, we saved Willie’s life. Despite the loss of one eye, Willie began to grow and stole our hearts. Like most kittens Willie became exuberant with play. We would occasionally allow him outside to enjoy adventures while we supervised. On the day of his death, he slipped out of the house unnoticed. Within 20 mins of leaving home, our neighbor shot and killed Willie. We returned home a couple hours later and realized his absence. We frantically searched for Willie, but did not found him til the following morning. Sadly, we had to bury our beloved Willie. We reviewed our security cameras and discovered his tragic ending. Also by a miracle, we found footage  with audio from the previous day. It contained the plan to commit this heinous crime by my neighbor and his associate. Since our discovery of Willie’s murder, our case has been mishandled in numerous ways. 

All we want is justice for our Willie. Please take a moment and sign our petition to force county and state officials to enforce the laws of our state. It’s hard to sleep at night knowing an out of sight loved one can be killed on your own property and the individual goes unpunished. Hopefully with your help, we can help stop the needless violence against animals. Don’t let Willie’s death be in vain or unpunished.
