What started here with the investigation into Sloth World Orlando has now grown into something much larger — a coordinated national effort to end the commercial sloth trade in the United States.

The Sloth Conservation Foundation and The Sloth Institute have officially joined forces to create the Sloth Protection Alliance, a united initiative focused on long‑overdue legislative change. Their goals include:

A permanent nationwide ban on importing sloths into the U.S.
An end to hands‑on sloth encounters
A full review of how sloths are classified and regulated under U.S. law
Criminal accountability for those responsible for the suffering and deaths at Sloth World
