Tony Paris died in December 2022. It was almost exactly 30 years since he was freed from prison after the Court of Appeal quashed his conviction for the murder of Lynette White. Along with 4 other men, he had been framed by South Wales Police. At the funeral, a group of us who had been involved in the the original campaign to 'Free The Boys' vowed that we would take up the campaign again because no one has ever been held accountable for all the tragedy that followed Lynette's death. We are fighting to honour Tony, Yusuf and Ronnie and to safeguard future generations by ensuring that such corruption cannot happen again.

We are supporting the investigation of 16 terrible miscarriages of justice in Wales since 1982, many involving the same corrupt methods and the same police officers.

Our aim is to get justice for the Cardiff 5, all those who have suffered over the last 35 years , their families and communities and those generations to come. We achieve justice not by getting revenge on the officers who perpetrated these injustices, but by holding the policing system to account and ensuring that it can’t happen again. This means understanding what was done to frame many innocent people over decades and enforcing policing standards which will make that corruption impossible.

We have joined forces with Mike O’Brien of the Cardiff Newsagent 3 Campaign to gain support for this in the Welsh Senedd and in Westminster. To date we have gained support for our Statement of Opinion from well over half of all eligible Senedd Members, across all parties, and for our Early Day Motion from 10 UK MPs.
