New petition for Tamir Rice
May 25, 2016 — I want to take this time to thank you all for your support and dedication to my family and Tamir. It has been 18 long months without him, we miss him everyday. Next month June 25 would have been his 14th birthday. So much has changed, and yet so much has stayed the same.
Police are still killing innocent unarmed citizens and getting away with murder. Prosrcutors, and grand juries are still not indicting, and clearly police officers of any wrong doings.
Nothing has changed. But, what has changed is our county prosecutor. Due to the overwhelming support of the community we were able to unseat our incumbent prosecutor Timothy McGinty. In January of 2017 Michael O'Mally will take the Oath of office as the New Cuyahoga County Prosecutor.
This is why I'm asking you help me with the next steps to seeking Justice for Tamir. Please sign and share this new petition with your family and friends, because Tamir never received his due process; his voice was never heard in a court of law. Michael O'Malley has the power to make that happen.
We are asking O'Malley that upon taken office in 2017, that he indict the police officers Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback for the murder of 12 year old Tamir Rice.
Our community and Tamir deserve our day in court.
