Dear Supporters,
We’ve reached over 250 signatures, and I’m beyond grateful for every one of you who has stood beside me in seeking justice for my son, Shawn Lee Fortune. But new developments show this fight is far from over — and the truth may go deeper than any of us imagined.
🚨 Facebook Breach Attempt Raises New Alarms
On July 17, 2025, I received an email notifying me of an attempt to reset Shawn’s Facebook password — five months after his passing. None of us in the family made that request.
When I logged into his profile, everything had been wiped. Only one follower remained: his step-grandfather.
Why would someone try to access his account now? Why erase it unless there was something to hide?
📂 Physical Evidence, Digital Tampering & Institutional Failures
Since Shawn’s suspicious death just two days after arriving at Pittsburgh Job Corps, I’ve discovered:
A neck injury on his thyroid cartilage completely ignored in the autopsy
Blood found around his head and mouth at the scene, but no trauma acknowledged
Multiple designer fentanyls and amphetamines in his system with no explanation
A roommate admitted giving him pills, yet no follow-up, no charges, no pill testing
A detective claimed there were texts warning Shawn about pills — but never shared them
His cell phone is still in police custody, months later, with no updates
Now, someone is trying to access or erase his digital footprint — and that is terrifying
🏫 What’s Happening Across Job Corps?
This is no isolated incident. Digging deeper, we’ve uncovered:
A long history of underreported deaths, abuse, and cover-ups at Job Corps centers
Over 14,000 serious incidents in 2023 alone
Young people with mental health challenges being neglected, blamed, and lost in silence
🏠 Threats Continue — Even At Home
As if grieving my son wasn’t enough, someone attempted to break into my home weeks ago.
I now live in fear, constantly protecting my daughter while juggling work and a never-ending search for justice.
💔 We Need Action, Not Silence
This petition is about more than one case — it’s about the systemic erasure of vulnerable youth, especially young Black men like Shawn. We are uncovering a pattern. And they are watching — trying to delete, deny, and delay.

Thank you again for fighting with me. The attempt to erase Shawn’s story only makes me fight harder.
Please don’t look away. Make them hear us.
