To all who continue to stand for justice for Shanquella Robinson, this is the latest court development:

On April 4, 2025, Khalil Cooke filed a Reply in Support of his Motion to Dismiss the civil lawsuit brought by Shanquella’s mother, Sallamondra Robinson. This is what the filing reveals:

Khalil Cooke is asking the federal court in North Carolina to dismiss the case on the grounds of improper venue, arguing the matter should be handled in Mexico.
He supports the same position taken by co-defendants Alysse Hyatt and Wenter Donovan.
Cooke’s team claims the majority of critical witnesses are in Mexico, including:

  • Emergency medical personnel from the Red Cross and multiple ambulances
  • Mexican municipal police officers
  • The forensic examiner who performed Shanquella’s autopsy
  • Hotel staff and law enforcement investigators
  • Evidence room assistants and criminal experts

The filing disputes whether Shanquella was murdered, whether there was a conspiracy, and even questions the facts surrounding her death.
Cooke argues that the U.S. courts cannot compel the testimony of these Mexican-based witnesses and that the case should be resolved by the Mexican legal system.
