Hey everyone, Happy Tuesday,

Although Governor Cooper has spoken out about Shanquella Robinson, it was only a brief statement as part of a larger conversation. Since he's the Governor of North Carolina, he has way more power and influence than the Mayor. And that power/influence will garner the attention of the media, and in turn keep her name alive. Also, it will put pressure on the FBI and the DOJ. Basically, he should have spoken on this case more than once and at more length. Shanqulla deserves more than just a brief statement and then nothing.

Again, while I appreciate his acknowledgment of the case and what happened to Shanquella, I expected more from him given his status/influence. Email him to apply pressure. 

Ultimately, the more government officials we have speaking out, the better because they have more influence than the average Joe.
