Petition Summary:

We, the undersigned, demand an immediate investigation into the Supreme Sikh Society of New Zealand (SSSNZ) and its current leadership, particularly Daljit Singh, for alleged misuse of power, lack of transparency, and actions that have caused division and distress within the Sikh community.

Why This Matters:

ENGLISH:

SSSNZ is one of the most influential Sikh organisations in New Zealand. It manages multiple Gurdwaras and represents our community in public forums. But increasing evidence and community concern suggest that SSSNZ’s leadership may be misusing its position, funds, and influence — turning religious service into political dominance.

Multiple incidents have been reported where dissenting voices were shut down, community members disrespected, and rival temples threatened or alienated. This is not the Sikh way — we believe in equality, humility, and service.

We are asking for:

• A formal audit of SSSNZ’s financials and charitable operations.
• Investigation into any misuse of funds or manipulation.
• Assurance that Sikh organisations in NZ remain neutral, inclusive, and serve the Sangat.

This petition is not political, nor personal. It is about restoring faith and fairness to institutions meant to serve us all.

SSSNZ ਨਿਊਜੀਲੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਈ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਕਈ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਲ ਉਠ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਧਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਿਆਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਆਮ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ, ਵੱਖਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨਾ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਰੰਗਬੰਦੀ — ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੈ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ:

• ਇੱਕ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਡੀਟ SSSNZ ਦੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਅਤੇ ਖਰਚੇ ਦੀ।
• ਦਾਨੀ ਪੈਸਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ।
• ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ, ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਗੌਣ ਰਹਿਤ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

ਇਹ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਨਿਜੀ। ਇਹ ਧਰਮਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੈ।
