Yakima Sheriff’s Deputies, not Yakima Police, were the culprits

Here is an email response clarifying who was killing the roosters.

Thank you for your email, Nicole, however, we, at the Yakima Police Department had nothing to do with killing the roosters.  They were killed by Yakima County Sheriff’s deputies.  You will need to reach out to Sheriff Robert Udell and the Yakima County Commissioners to voice your concern. 

The Yakima Police Department is a municipal agency and this incident happened in the county. At the time of the incident there were no Yakima Police officers involved or at the scene.
