Ryan Warner’s response

Based on the horrific events in our county, I have recently started drafting legislation to reform CYS practices, which addresses many of the same concerns raised in this petition.

I recently circulated a co-sponsorship memo to all Representatives in the General Assembly (linked below), which marks the first step in the legislative process, as it allows other members to sign onto the bill.

In addition to this, I have reintroduced my legislation to establish a child torture statute in Pennsylvania, as well as legislation allowing for consideration of the death penalty in extreme cases of child abuse and child sexual abuse.

As a father of two, I am horrified and sickened by these events, but I am deeply grateful to see our community come together and push for change to protect our children.
