We want to take the time to thank everyone who has supported us over the last year. We survived the one-year mark of my sister's death on 11/10/22 and our second holiday season without her. I wish I could say that it gets easier but that would be a lie. I want all of those involved in her investigation to know that a year later the pain does not lessen. With unanswered questions still circling around in our minds, I will tell you what grief linked to this type of loss looks like after one year of surviving the pain. It looks like sleepless nights full of nightmares wondering if she was in pain when she died and knowing that we were not there to protect her. All those involved in her investigation do not have to live with that. To them, it was just another case or another “stupid college student”. So we will continue on with our quest to seek justice for my sister as we say goodbye to 2022 and enter another new year without her.
