It was like deja vu when my family and I saw the story about Princeton University student Misrach Ewunetie who went missing but was found dead earlier this week (https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/21/us/missing-princeton-student-death-update/index.html Having another publicized incident like this so close to the one-year anniversary of my sister's death has led to us reliving our own experience a year ago. We sincerely hope that Princeton University and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office do a thorough investigation so that Misrach's family is not sitting where we are sitting one year after my sister was found dead in a Recycling Refuse Authority transfer station in Pennsylvania. We are still sitting with unanswered questions, a lack of justice, and the pain of grief with no sense of closure. Our hearts go out to the family of Misrach as they put their trust in the officials looking into what happened to her. Our advice to them is to leave no stone unturned, fight for answers, and seek out trusted support to navigate the system. We are here for her family if they need help, as our hearts were broken when we heard that yet another female college student was found dead but this time in our home state of New Jersey.
We have reached our goal of 5,000 supporters! We are forever grateful for all the support we have received. I am pleased to announce that we now have a legal team we are working with to finally start seeking justice for my sister more directly. Not too much can be said about that at this time but all I can say for now is even though we have been waiting patiently for a year we still believe justice will be served and we are in it for the long haul!
