On Oct 12, 2023; Skyler Martin was only sentenced 30 days in jail, undergo a psychological exam, never own a gun again(he owned one at the time of crime but he borrowed it from a friend to commit crime) what's to say he can't borrow another one, and 7 years of probation with 3 months on house arrest. This was a plea bargain between DA Craig Howe, Skyler's attorney, Judge Spataro and over seen by DA Paula DiGiacomo. Not once did the arresting officer or I was contacted about the plea bargain that was being offered nor how us as victims felt about it. It was just offered and agreed upon all parties involved. This case was just awful how it was handled and they all should be ashamed of themselves. Some of the mentioned names are up for re-election in Nov.  they surely don't have my vote and they should not have yours. Skylet will be out in 30 days, with no contact with us order, but not once was it ordered for this man to never own an animal or to be around any family or friends pets. We need to voice our opinions and have them heard.
