Hello to all of Oak’s Law’s supporters! 

In just seven weeks, your support of Oak’s Law has collected over 1100+ signatures!!! Do you know how amazing that is and how amazing you are? This is the power of people raising their voices for voiceless pets like Oak and saying, “Not anymore! These pets deserve better!” I am so grateful for your support thus far. 

We have to push on—harder and farther to get the signatures needed for the FL legislature—5000 would be great; 10000 would be unbelievable! Please share with everyone you know and make them aware of the dire need in front of us for FL’s pets. 

The law added this week to Dexter’s law creates the pet abuse registry. Great! Yet there is so much more that still has to be accomplished to protect FL’s pets as sentient beings worthy of more protection, earlier law enforcement intervention, and stricter punishment for owners who fail them in horrible ways. 

Keep sharing this petition! Print it out with the link for people to vote. Explain it to vets, shelters and pet stores and ask if they will display it. Share it again on your social media—it can take several times for people to read the petition before signing. Thank you for all you are doing to help Oak be remembered as the dog who changed FL’s pets laws for the better!
