Hutto ISD failed an 11-year-old boy with disabilities - and we need your voice to help make it right.

Who is Nehemiah Craig?
Nehemiah is a joyful, intelligent 11-year-old with Epilepsy, 2q31 deletion syndrome, ADHD, speech and visual impairments, and other disabilities. Despite his challenges, he has a heart to learn - but Hutto ISD has denied him the education and dignity every child deserves.

WHAT HAPPENED TO NEHEMIAH:

-I (Ramona Craig), the parent filed criminal charges against the two principals, head teacher, and 30 Employees at Hutto ISD for neglect and the police called CPS on me to have my child taken from me. The Hutto School PD sabotaged the criminal complaints I filed against principal Eric Johnson for breaking Nehemiah communication device. Principal Toby Chiz, caught on ring cam, mocking and taking pictures of my African wreath with the Afro hanging on my front door and taking unauthorized pics inside my garage. The head teacher Nikita Voelker refused to fill out his seizure log causing his seizures to exacerbate.

- His medically approved modified school schedule was ignored.
- His transportation services were unlawfully removed.
- His assistive communication device was taken away without consent.
- His IEP was secretly altered, lowering his educational goals.
- He was sent home without notice, refused food, and seizure logs were not maintained.                                                                                                                  - Nehemiah was forced to stay in soiled diapers 2 to 4 hours daily when his personal care service for diaper change was every 1.5 hours leaving him with horrible rashes.                                                                                                     -Nehemiah was found with a mouth full of mud during recess by mom.           -Nehemiah was denied a 1on 1 hired staff and denied Ard meeting for seizures.
- Staff retaliated against his mother, even entering her home and photographing her without
consent.
- Most devastatingly, Nehemiah not been to school since 9/11/2024 of school.

 - The school district has unlawfully remove him out of the district without any prior meeting and the board is refusing to respond or acknowledge any of my request. 
- The school district has denied my request to the document of Nehemiah’s communication device.

• The school district has refused my request of the body cam from the school police officer, who conducted the interview of these employee
• TEA has refused to Provide me with the complaints requested months ago
• The school district has refused me to re-enroll him at the school placement on his IEP paperwork

THESE ARE VIOLATIONS OF:
- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Texas Education Code:

- § 29.003 - Failure to provide FAPE based on disability eligibility
- § 29.005 - Changing the IEP without lawful ARD process or parental consent                                                                                                                        - § 29.006 - Not implementing services in the IEP
- § 26.0081 - Denying parent access to procedural safeguards
- § 37.001 & § 37.0021 - Mishandling discipline and failure to use a proper Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
 
                     WE DEMAND:
- Justice and accountability from Hutto ISD
- Full compensatory services for Nehemiah
- Independent investigation into the district's violations
- Policy changes to protect students with disabilities
